Oh My God…Today is the birthday and I am not done!

What is saving me is that the actual birthday party is scheduled for tomorrow, giving me another day to finish up the vest. Hallelujah!  If the Volcano in Iceland had not happened I would have been finished by now. Cross my heart and hope to die… I know you are smiling but this is not an excuse. I had to entertain out of town guests much longer than anticipated because all flights to/from Europe were cancelled until a couple of days ago. That meant no weekend knitting which I had banked on doing.

Anyhow, I shall be optimistic: I am in an O.K. shape. 😯

The front is almost done, just a dozen or so rows left. The great news is that I am extremely happy with the design of the Kangaroo pocket. I did it all on my own and incorporated the pocket seamlessly onto the body. It is even lined and must say, I lllllove the seed stitch texture and the overall look of the pocket.

  3. The Side Panels
  4. The Sewing of Bottom Edges

And That Is All
