Trip Notes> Oregon

I just wanted to do a brief post about my trip to Oregon and Seattle.

We enjoyed a sunny and mild weekend in Portland. I Liked this clean and environmentally conscious town. We walked extensively around the city and by the waterfront.  Most than anything else, I loved Portland’s Gardens.

On Sunday, we headed out of town to see the famous waterfalls of Columbia River Gorge and historic Route 30 and did some light hiking/walking. Later, we drove to Mt. Hood and had lunch there at the interesting Timberline Lodge. It was a fun and relaxing day. I have lots of gorgeous pictures to share with you in my upcoming post.

We are in Seattle now- under a light rain. Even though Seattle did not hear my “Sun” prayers,  I shall have no worries and will concentrate on the poetic aspect of the rain. 😎  Plus, I hear it might become semi-sunny in the afternoon. Something to look forward to.

I leave you with this fantastic photo of the historic Morrison Bridge in Portland taken by a friend of ours, Lois Riesebieter, on our last night in Portland.
